World Book Day 2020

For our 'Enterprise Event' this December, Y5 made beautiful baubles to sell on their stall. Thank you to all who came to support us!

We're learning to select our own apparatus for Science investigations.

Learning the ukulele can be tricky - but we're getting there!

The artefacts in our History loan box really enhanced our learning about the Anglo-Saxons.

After all the hard work writing our Legends, it was great fun sharing them with Y2...

We're all working hard in Y5.

We thought the Forest School area was a wonderful place for a picture...

Then we thought we'd like to show off our wonderful stained glass door!

Y5 Curriculum Overview

Year 5 enjoyed a day at Westholme School's annual STEM competition.

Pictures are under the gallery tab.

Day 5 - Baking Morning

Day 4 - STEM Day

Day 3 - Day of Sport

Day 2- Shakespeare Day

Day 1 - We looked at Banksy and tried out some of his designs

Year 5 Liverpool Trip. We were lucky enough to visit the museum and explore the different levels and exhibitions.

The focus of our trip was 'Space' so we visited the planetarium to see a demonstration called 'We Are Aliens!'. We then explored materials used in space and then we drove around Liverpool to look for famous landmarks and buildings.

Year 5 were excellent this week during their Bikeability course! We are so proud of their attitude and behaviour, well done!

Year 5 loved having Mrs Barden in our class this afternoon. We enjoyed our RE lesson based on 'water' around the world. We thought about things we want and things we need in life. We then looked at pictures of dirty water and spoke about water around the world. Mille and Sadie did a great job of helping to lead this lesson and we created wonderful work to use on a display in the hall.

World Book Day 2019

We have had a fabulous shared reading session in school today where each class paired up with another class for half an hour to share new stories and read to each other. Year 5 shared with Year 2, take a look at the Year 2 page for more.

We had a visit from Buddy and the NSPCC

Year 5 are learning about planets and we are attempting to make them...

We had great fun making the Christingles for the Service in Church on 13th December. For many more pictures of Christingle-making, head to the Gallery.

Our Christian Value this half term is 'Hospitality'

Thank you to all who came to support us today! Year 5 were amazing in their class assembly. Well done. Mrs Jones and Mrs Holt-Rogers are so proud!

We loved our morning with 'The History Man'.

We love learning about the Anglo-Saxons
