Writers' Corner

At Eccleston St. Mary's, we love writing! In this section we like to celebrate some of the wonderful pieces of writing the children produce.

Young Writers

We are delighted that some of our Y6 pupils have recently seen their work in print. They have had their fictional diary entries published in the 'Young Writers Incredible Diary of Fantastic Fiction.' Well done to you all!

Y3 have been studying 'The Tin Forest' and have been inspired to write similar pieces themselves. Mrs Whaite and Mrs Clerk were so impressed with what Hannah wrote - so here it is!

On World Book Day, Y6 studied the poem, 'If', by Rudyard Kipling. They went on, individually, to write their own versions but, before that, they worked together on a joint effort, which you can see below.
