Autumn

The Open the Book team joined us for Worship on Tuesday morning to tell us the story of Daniel and the Lions. Some fantastic costumes for the adults and children this week. Let us remember that God protects us all, just like he did with Daniel.

'Open the Book'

We were delighted to welcome the 'Open the Book' team into school this week to tell the story of Jonah and the Whale - especially as they provided their own whale!

Harvest 2019

The whole school (apart from Reception Class who held their own service in school) celebrated Harvest together in Church on 20th September.

Each class led a different part of the service and so we were able to learn about the history of Harvest (Y6) and Harvest around the world (Y3); hear the story of the Rainbow People(Y4); listen to some Harvest poems (Y5); join in some Harvest prayers (Y2) and listen to a new Harvest song (Y1 and the choir) as well as joining in with three of our favourite Harvest hymns.

We always love going down to Church together and the late Summer / early Autumn sunshine made the occasion even more special!

All Age Worship - the Patronal Festival of St. Mary

The All Age Worship team were delighted to be invited to lead Worship at St. Mary's Church again on Sunday 15th September. This time their theme was St. Mary as 8th September is her patronal festival. They explained exactly what that meant and then helped us all to realise that, through our Christian Values at school, we are trying every day to follow her example.

In addition, this time we exercised our vocal chords and sang 'Peace is flowing like a river' for the congregation.
